No More COVID Requirements to Enter Panama!

At last! No more COVID requirements to enter Panama. One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our clients was what they needed to enter the country. Starting from September 16th, the vaccine and testing requirements, as well as the mandatory QR code form have been lifted.

This came as a result of an Executive Decree that was signed by the president on September 15th. Also saying goodbye are social distancing and business capacity limits. Consequently, Panama is expecting an upturn in tourism and business in the country.

Most people in Panama will now be able to go back to their pre-pandemic ways. Of the remaining regulations, wearing a mask on public transport and inside medical facilities are the only ones that still involve the everyday person. For sanitary reasons, food handlers are still required to wear masks. Of course if you prefer to wear a mask, you’re still welcome to do it. The Panamanian government encourages masking when in crowded spaces, for people over 60 years old and for people with compromised inmune systems.

In any case, if you want to confirm that there are no more COVID requirements to enter Panama, we suggest checking with your airline. Panama’s national airline, COPA has now updated their site to reflect this new mandate.
