Nestle to open Regional Center
As announced by Panama’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Nestlé S.A. will be opening a Regional Business Center in this country. This update falls very positively into Panama’s plan to leverage its value as a strategic hub for countless global business initiatives.
The Swiss company only has 2 other centers of this kind, located in Switzerland and Malaysia.
Nestlé is not a stranger to Panama business-wise: during 2015, the food company requested 20,000 tons of tomato to Panamanian industrial growers, which led to the planning of a special program by the Ministry of Agricultural Development (known as MIDA) to adapt farms for leveraging of the greenhouse production of tomato.
Nestlé’s move is foreseen as the beginning of a very positive commercial relation and a significant contribution to the country’s continuous growth.
